PLACE & TIME BRANDING AND PACKAGING ARTWORK

In 2022, working with the JOANN packaging team, we rolled out the rebranded concept for PLACE & TIME, our seasonal and everyday decor product brand. As a packaging graphic designer, I played a pivotal role in building the PLACE & TIME décor brand at JOANN stores by translating the brand's identity into impactful product packaging. I was instrumental in establishing the brand standards and brand voice, creating hundreds of templates and formats that defined the visual hierarchy and conveyed essential product information to customers. By developing seasonal packaging style guides, I ensured consistency across all brand touch points, aligning each design with the brand's statement. My work helped bring the brand's vision to life: empowering customers to “express their style and personality and create living spaces that reflect their own PLACE & TIME.”

Prior to the 2022 rebrand, Place & Time lacked a cohesive brand identity. The original logo was dated, lacked versatility, and often relied on seasonal icons that created challenges when applied across the brand’s wide range of packaging formats. Without a clear brand statement or unified visual direction, the identity struggled to make a lasting impression or communicate the product line’s full potential.

The refreshed branding introduced a more modern, iconic logo paired with a refined brand statement that positioned Place & Time as a go-to source for trend-forward home décor. The updated design system emphasized flexibility, allowing for seamless application across everyday and seasonal assortments, while enabling customers to express their personal style through elevated, craftable pieces.
